With better skills and greater experience, India hammered Asian Games gold medallists Japan by 7-2 in a thrilling match to secure their place in the FIH Series finals claiming a berth in the Olympic qualification event to be held in October-November. In the final showdown, India will play South Africa who beat USA by 2-1 in the other semifinal. Harmanpreet Singh who played his 100th international was the star of the match.
