IOA has rejected the new Draft National Sports Code warning India might face International Olympic Committee’s wrath if the administrative changes enshrined in the Draft National Sports Code 2017 receive green signal. Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju had earlier announced the formation of a committee to keep a tab on contentious provisions like age and tenure cap on officials, which National Sports Federations opposed.
