IPL eyes further expansion for 2021 edition

It’s been 8 years since BCCI tried an IPL expansion but had to withdraw it in 2011. Now, according to latest reports, the T20 extravaganza may well see another attempt of expansion from 8 teams to 10 for the 2021 edition. The Adani Group (for Ahmedabad), the RPG-Sanjeev Goenka Group (for Pune), the Tatas (for Ranchi and Jamshedpur) and a few other corporate giants are getting ready to become the top bidders.
