Ireland’s dream run to become a fully-fledged cricketing nation will see a big step forward when they play their first Test against England at Lord’s. The Irish side made their Test debut last year but suffered a final day defeat to Pakistan despite a creditable display. They were well beaten by Afghanistan after that.
