James Anderson had to leave Edgbaston for a scan on a tight calf, and it leaves England a bowler down against Australia on day one of the first Ashes Test. Anderson, 37, had to go a lot to be fit for Ashes opener owing to a calf injury sustained while playing for his county team Lancashire in early July but was passed fit to play. The England pacer has also apologized to his teammates for picking up another injury.
