Jonny Bairstow became the first England cricketer to hit back-to-back centuries in a single edition of the World Cup. Before his brilliant hundred against New Zealand on Wednesday, Bairstow had hammered a match-winning ton against India as well. Bairstow’s latest 99-ball 106 saw 15 boundaries and one six. He also became the first Englishman to hit a World Cup century against New Zealand since Alan Lamb in 1983.
