Lasith Malinga to lead revamped Sri Lanka T20 side

Lasith Malinga, who retired from ODIs last month, will captain the Sri Lankan side for the 3-match T20I series against New Zealand starting from September 1. However, experienced all-rounder, Thisara Perera didn’t make it to the 15-member Sri Lanka squad. 9 members of the team from their last T20I series against South Africa have been scrapped. Currently, Sri Lanka and New Zealand are playing a 2-match Test series.
