Manchester City banned from Champions League for two seasons for violating financial rules

After being found to have committed serious breaches of financial regulations, Manchester City have been banned by UEFA for the next two seasons of Champions League along with a fine of £24.9m. The breaches were found after an investigation which was sparked by the publication of leaked emails and documents by the German magazine Der Spiegel in November 2018. We are disappointed but not surprised, said club.
