Former captain Mark Taylor has backed Steve Smith to captain Australia once again following his Ashes heroics, as the 30-year-old continues to receive full support for a second chance. Smith was handed a 12- month ban over a brazen attempt to alter the ball with sandpaper in the Cape Town Test. He was also slapped with a further year’s ban from any leadership role which will run out at the end of March next year.
