Phil Simmons to leave Afghanistan coaching job

Afghanistan coach Phil Simmons has announced he will step down from his position after the ICC World Cup 2019. The former West Indies opener took charge back in December 2017. Many believe the recent change in Afghanistan’s captaincy and recruiting different captains for three different formers didn’t go down well with Simmons. Recently, Asghar Afghan was removed from his captaincy role across all formats.
