Prajnesh crashes out in opening round of Australian Open

India’s top-ranked player Prajnesh Gunneswaran missed out on the opportunity to face Novak Djokovic as he crashed out in the opening round of Australian Open on Tuesday. World no.122 Prajnesh suffered a straight-set 6-4 6-2 7-5 defeat to Japanese wild card Tatsuma Ito, ranked 22 places below the Indian. Prajnesh had earlier played in the Wimbledon, French Open and US Open main draw due to his better rankings.
