Breaking Margaret Court’s 11 Australian Open titles record, Rafael Nadal beat Dominic Thiem 6-3, 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 to clinch his 12th French Open title. With this win, Federer took his tally to 18 grand slam single's titles, and he is now only behind Roger Federer’s overall haul of 20 majors. The first thing I want to say is congrats to Dominic. I feel sorry because he deserves it here too, said Nadal.
