Real Madrid complete signing of ‘Japanese Messi’

Real Madrid has confirmed the signing of Japanese teenager Takefusa Kubo who is often dubbed as ‘Japanese Messi’ on Friday. The 18-year-old FC Tokyo footballer joins Madrid’s B team Castilla and will play from next season. Kubo earned his nickname after he joined Barcelona’s youth academy at 10 but had to return to Japan in 2015 due to FIFA sanctions handed to Barca for violating rules on signing under-age players.
