Former Ireland cricketer Roy Torrens has passed away at the age of 72, Cricket Ireland has informed. A right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast-medium bowler, Torrens debuted for Ireland on July 20, 1966 v Middlesex at Ormeau (Cap Number 507). He was capped 30 times between 1966 and 1984, taking 77 wickets at 25.66 apiece, and a best of 7 on 40.
