World Rugby has scrapped referee Jaco Peyper from the Rugby World Cup semifinals after posing with Wales fans who mimicked a significant red-card incident in a quarterfinal he officiated where Wales managed to beat France 20-19. Nigel Owens has been appointed for officiating Saturday’s England-New Zealand match. Frenchman Jerome Garces will be in charge of the second semifinal between Welsh and South Africa.
