Hard-hitting allrounder Shane Watson has announced his retirement from Australia’s T20 Big Bash League but will continue playing selective overseas tournaments. The 37-year-old, who said goodbye to international cricket in 2016, stepped down from Sydney Thunder’s captaincy citing family reasons. Watson played more than 700 international and domestic games in total, scoring 25,000 runs and taking almost 600 wickets.
