Maria Sharapova enjoyed a winning return from injury as she defeated Viktoria Kuzmova 7-6 (10/8), 6-0 to enter the 2nd round of Mallorca Open. The 5-time Grand Slam champion hasn’t played any competitive match since the end of January after taking a break to recover from a nagging shoulder injury. The winning return on the grass court means a timely boost for Sharapova as the Wimbledon now less than two weeks away.
