Shiva Thapa bags India's 1st gold medal at President's Cup boxing tournament. The 4-time Asian medallist won after getting a walkover in the finals in Astana. He made international debut in newly introduced Olympic category of 63 kg & was about to fight Kazakhstan's Zakir Safiullin in the summit clash, but Zakir had to pull out due to injury. Thapa says-'new weight category was easy to adapt; I haven't faced too much difficulty.'
