Shreyas Iyer on Wednesday scored his maiden international hundred in Hamilton against New Zealand to further his claim for the hugely-contested No.4 spot in the Indian ODI team. The young batsman in the process created a strange record. He became the first no. 4 Indian batsmen to score a century in ODI outside India. Before Iyer, it was Manish Pandey who scored a match-winning century in Sydney on January 23 2016.
