Dominic Thiem toppled Daniil Medvedev 6-4, 6-0 on Sunday to win the Barcelona Open title ahead of a tough French Open campaign. Only a day after defeating 11-time Barcelona winner Nadal in semifinals, the third-seeded Austrian bagged his second title in four events after beating Roger Federer as well at Indian Wells last month. He has become the first Austrian to win the Barcelona title since Thomas Muster in 1996.
