USA makes history, secures ODI status for first time

United States have secured their ODI status for the first time after a 3rd straight win at World Cricket League Division Two event. The Americans, whose earlier ODI experience was at 2004 Champions Trophy only, beat Hong Kong by 84 runs to seal a top-4 place in the 6-team competition. There will be 20 ODI teams after the tournament, with top 4 teams joining Scotland, UAE, Nepal and Netherlands in a temporary status.
