Uttarakhand Cricket Association, which is the youngest unit inducted into the BCCI, has become the first state association to ensure financial security to its first-class players by providing them contracts. Uttarakhand took the lead by announcing retainer ships for its first-class cricketers, presenting an example in front of other state boards. The board has also decided to provide scholarships to juniors.
