Afghanistan had a reality check in the first ODI against West Indies as the Caribbeans won the match by seven wickets in Lucknow. Despite losing two early wickets, West Indies chased down the 194-run target with 3.3 overs to spare. Roston Chase and Shai Hope scored half-centuries, with the former hammering a 115-ball 94. Incidentally, the Afghans had beaten the Caribbeans in the ODI World Cup earlier this year.
