Oshane Thomas scalped 5 wickets for 28 runs as West Indies defeated Sri Lanka by 25 runs in their first Twenty20 international. Lendl Simmons scored an unbeaten 67 as West Indies made 196-4 batting first. In reply, Sri Lanka were all out for 171 in the final over as Thomas wrecked havoc. For the Lankans, Kusal Perera top-scored with a crucial 66-run knock. The second and final match of the series is on Friday.
