Before a young Sachin Tendulkar could make a name for himself, the Master Blaster revealed that he had to beg and plead to open for the Indian cricket team back in 1994. He was provided with a chance, and Tendulkar made the most as he slammed his maiden ODI hundred. The rest is history. Tendulkar retired after scoring 100 international centuries. Tendulkar had earlier played in the middle order before he opened for India.
