Why did it take so long for BCCI to become NADA compliant?

After years of resistance, the Board of Control for Cricket of India has finally come under the ambit of the National Anti-DopingAgency (NADA), ending more than a decade long stand between the Indian cricket board and the national organisation. After the sports ministry held back clearances for the tours of South Africa A and Women's team, the pressure eventually fell on the cash-rich board which saw BCCI finally give in.
