West Indies beat India in the 2nd T20I at Thiruvananthapuram by 8 wickets to end their 7 match winless streak and also level the 3 match series 1-1. West India had lost their last seven T20Is against India and registered their last victory against India in 2017 at Kingston. Shivam Dube's maiden T20I fifty guided India to 170 for 7, But West Indies batsman led by Lendl Simmons chased down the score with 9 balls to spare.
