Windies players to wear black armbands in memory of Basil Butcher

The West Indies cricketers will wear black armbands during the 2nd ODI against India to pay respect for the country’s cricket icon Basil Butcher who died on Monday at the age of 86. Butcher, a right-handed batsman from Guyana, made his sensational debut against India and went on to play 44 Tests till 1969. In his debut series, he hammered 486 runs at an average of 69 plus, smashing two hundreds and three fifties.
