Women’s hockey: India beat Japan to win Olympic Test event

The Indian women hockey team won the Olympic Test event as Navjot Kaur and Lalremsiami guiding the side to a 2-1 victory over Japan in the final. Navjot Kaur (11th minute) had opened the scoring to give India lead, but it got neutralized within a minute as Minami Shimizu (12’) leveled for the hosts. Then Lalremsiami (33’) scored the winning goal for India as Indian defense remained rock solid to hold on to the lead.
