A new strategy has emerged in all startups. This is the trimming down the workforce. Startups are now shifting focus towards profitability, which in other words, is increasing operational efficiency. Zomato has fired 70-100 employees on this basis. It has also been done by startups like Cars24, ShopClues, and food panda. However, Zomato has firmly denied this news. The other reason can be the lack of proper funds being received.
