Apple has filed a patent for a more efficient 3D printing method using triangle tessellation with fixed-size or dynamically-sized triangles. The patent involves a surface and an internal infill shaped like differently sized triangles to get more infill on the edges of the object, thereby preventing cracking. Michael R. Sweet, Senior Printing System Engineer at Apple Inc., Canada, is the sole inventor of the method.
