Colour-changing asteroid discovered for the first time

Asteroid 6478 Gault was first noticed for sprouting a rare double trail of dust, but now it has surprised with stunning colour change. Asteroids have never before been seen shifting colours under real-time observation. But 6478 Gault gives away reddish colour to a fresh blue hue in near-infrared spectrum, as per NASA. This is happening as the dusty exterior gets stripped away by its continuous travel through space.
