Google Removes 500 Apps Over Spyware Concerns

A spyware scare has led Google to remove over 500 apps from its online app store after it was discovered advertising software used by the apps could be exploited and used to install spyware on handsets. Researchers at mobile security firm 'Lookout' have discovered a software development kit (SDK), dubbed Igexin, that has been found delivering spyware on Android devices.
