Take down TikTok from App Stores: Govt ask Apple and Google

A day after the Supreme Court had rejected TikTok’s plea to stay a Madras High Court order from April 3, to put a ban on the app’s downloads, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has asked Google and Apple to take down the TikTok from their app stores. SC has posted the matter for hearing to April 22, as the Madras High Court is expected to hear the case on April 16.
