In his newly published essays - In Brief Answers to the Big Questions, late physicist Stephen Hawking has suggested that wealthy people will soon choose to edit the genetic make-up of their children, which could lead to the development of a race of superhumans with abilities like enhanced memory, disease resistance, intelligence and longevity. This could have destructive implications for 'unimproved humans'.
