Google and Apple have been facing criticism for hosting an app 'Absher' which allows Saudi men to track the movement of women and control them. The app available on Google Play and Apple's App Store also sends SMS to men whenever a woman will use her passport at the border. Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and a women's rights activist have urged that Apple and Google should rethink hosting the app.
