Built at the cost of Rs.350 crore and equipped with the latest technology, Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) has got its new state of the art air traffic control (ATC) tower, which stands at 103 meters. Only eight ATC towers in the world are taller than the new tower at IGI. The new tower also has its 'tuned mass dampener,' to reduce the amplitude of mechanical vibrations to prevent the tower from swaying.
