Shikhar Dhawan ruled out of WC due to thumb fracture

In a major blow to Team India during the ongoing World Cup 2019, India opener Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the tournament. Reportedly, he is not in a position to participate as his injury will take more than two weeks to recover. Earlier, Sanjay Bangar had said that management did not want to rule out Shikhar Dhawan and wanted to observe his progress. Rishabh Pant is already being called as cover for Dhawan.
