CV Raman 48th death anniversary: He was second Indian to get Nobel Prize

For his achievements in the field of Physics, India, today on the occasion of 48th death anniversary, is paying tribute to Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman. After post-graduation, Raman started working as an accountant in the finance department of the then Indian govt. But with the shift in interest, he started teaching physics at the University of Calcutta. In 1930 he was honoured with the Nobel Prize in Physics.
