From 1509 to 1529, Krishnadevaraya was emperor of the Vijayanagara Empire. He is regarded as one of the greatest kings in Indian history and was the third ruler of the Tuluva dynasty. The Vijayanagara Empire in Southern India was revived during the reign of Emperor Krishnadeva Raya in 1509.
