In 2017, the first ichthyosaur (marine reptile) fossil (152 million years old) was discovered in India. Reports published in the scientific journal "Plos One."
On October 25th, the Indian scientisits made a great discovery of Ichthyosaur fossil for the very first time. It was an extinct marine reptile and was a 152 million-years old fossil found in the Western state of Gujarat. The fossil was found inside the rocks from the Mesozoic Era, which ran between 252 and 66 milllion years ago, in Kutch desert.
