India-Pak border to have ‘smart fencing’ by March 2018

Sealing the Indian border with Pakistan is an immediate “priority” and a smart technology-aided fence will be in place along the Jammu sector by March next year, the BSF chief on Wednesday said. The new fencing is likely to have a multi-tier security ring comprising an alarm to security force personnel in case of any infiltration bid or attempts to cut the fence.
