A senior govt official reported that Nripendra Misra, PM Narendra Modi's chief secretary, announced his intention to be released, a senior official of the government said. The dissolution occurred when the development of India's GDP slowed down to 5%in June 2019-20 to over five years, compared with 5.8% in March. Former cabinet secretary Pradeep Kumar Sinha has been appointed as OSD in the PM's Office.
