British Airways pilots go on a global strike of 48 hr
British Airways experienced first worldwide pilot strike and the chance that nearly all of its planes could be suspended for 2 days. Its 4,300 pilots were locked in a 9-month salary conflict spoiling travel plans for nearly 3,00,000 people. The BALPA dismissed an 11.5% pay rise over 3 years suggested by the airline.
