Mary Kom created history by becoming the only woman boxer who holds the title of World Amateur Boxing Champion for a record six times. She is the only woman from India who qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics and win the bronze medal. Moreover, she is the first Indian woman boxer to win a Gold Medal in the Asian Games (2014) in South Korea as well as at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
