Lambasingi is a small yet scenic village located in the Eastern Ghats of Chintapalli Mandal of Visakhapatnam district, Andhra Pradesh. While the village is a popular weekend getaway for the local population, it remains hidden from the rest of the country's eyes. The village has an abundance of natural beauty known as 'Kashmir of Andhra Pradesh.' 

The village is located 1000 meters above sea level, and that explains the pleasant climate here. The temperature here is slightly cooler than in Visakhapatnam and nearby areas. Lambasingi is one of the best places to beat the scorching heat of the sun. The place is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. It is also famous for its tea and coffee estates. 

Lambasingi is one of the few places in the southern part of the country that witnesses snowfall. The nights can be freezing here, and that's why it also gets the local name 'Korra Bayalu,' which means that anyone staying out in the night would freeze by the morning. How to reach?

Lambasingi is located nearly 100 km away from Visakhapatnam. It is well-connected to Andhra by road. You can either use public transport or take your own vehicle to the hill station.

Bojjannakonda translates into 'Hills of Buddha.' It is six rock caves whose origin can be traced back to somewhere between the 4th and 9th centuries. It is one of the best spots in the region to hone your photography skills. You can also practice meditation here. Bojjannakonda can be easily explored in 1 to 2 hours.

 

Kothapally Waterfalls: 

Kothapally Waterfalls is one of the most prominent tourist attractions in Lambasingi. It is located 38 km away from the village and remains open for tourists between 9 am and 5:30 pm. An Rs. 10 entry ticket is required for entering the waterfall. You can try activities like trekking here. If you love the cascading effect of water flowing down from towering rocks, this place will certainly amuse you. You can also enjoy a bath in the freshwater as the changing room facility is also available. This is also an ideal spot for a picnic, and the region can be explored in 3 to 4 hours.

 

Susan Garden: 

Susan Garden is another captivating site in Lambasingi that deserves to be captured by your camera lens. You can enjoy long walks with your friends or partner while soaking in the mesmerizing view of this blossoming garden that has all sorts of colorful flowers. Doing meditation among the pleasant fragrance coming out from the flowers is an experience in itself. The garden is mainly popular for its yellow-colored flowers with black eyes that add to this gorgeous hill station's charm. 

 

Kondakarla Bird Sanctuary: 

Bird watching is one of the most popular activities in Lambasingi. Kondakarla Bird Sanctuary could be your escape from the ponderous and busy city life. After paying the entree fee that is just Rs. 10, you can spend hours amid nature while watching a vast diversity of birds flying over the serene lake inside the sanctuary. The best time to visit the sanctuary is during the winters when migratory birds from different parts of the world come here. It is also a popular boating spot. It is an absolute gem for nature and wildlife photographers. The entire sanctuary can be explored in 3 to 4 hours.

 

Thajangi Reservoir: 

Another popular place to visit in Lambasingi is the scenic Thajangi Reservoir. While there aren't many activities to do here, you can spend plenty of time sitting peacefully while gazing at the vast green cover and mountains dotted around the reservoir. It is a very popular picnic spot where you can set your camp if you travel with your friends. The reservoir is located just 6 km away from the Lambasingi bus stand. You can click hundreds of pictures at Thajangi reservoir. 

 

The best time to visit Lambasingi in the morning hours as the night can get really cold, especially in the winters.
