Halep sets up Aus Open semis clash with Muguruza

Simona Halep stormed into her second Australian Open semifinal after mercilessly humbling Anett Kontaveit in straight sets. The former world no.1 beat 28th seed Kontaveit 6-1 6-1 in just 53 minutes on the Rod Laver Arena. She will now face Garbine Muguruza who earlier beat Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. Halep is bidding to add the Australian Open title to her 2018 French Open triumph and last year’s Wimbledon win.
