Taj Mahal, Agra

The undying symbol of love, Taj Mahal was made a UNESCO World Heritage SIte in 1883. This ivory white monument of Mughal architecture is the most popular site in India and there is no debate that it deserves its status.

In 1986 Khajurao was declared a World Heritage Style. The group of temples is exemplary of both nagara style architecture and Hindu traditions.
