Ip Man, a Chinese martial artist and master instructor of Wing Chun, died in 1972 at the age of 79.
Ip Man, also known as Yip Man died on 2nd December 1972. He was a Chinese martial artist who was a grandmaster of the Wing Chun martial art. He taught a number of students who went on to become martial arts experts in their own right, the most well-known of whom being Bruce Lee.
