Justice Dipak Misra to be 45th Chief Justice of India

Supreme Court Justice Dipak Misra has been appointed as the next Chief Justice of India (CJI). He will be replacing current Justice J S Khehar, who is set to retire on August 27. He is the 3rd from Odisha to become CJI. Justice Misra will have a tenure of nearly 14 months as the CJI, as he is going to retire on October 2, 2018.
